Subject pronouns
Subject –before the verb
Subject pronouns are the subject of a verb. They go before the verb.
- Ilike your dress.
- Youare late.
- He is my friend.
- It often rains.
- She is on holiday.
- We live in England.
- They come from London.
Object pronouns
Object –after the verb
Object pronouns are the object of a verb. They go after the verb.
- Can you help me please?
- I can see you.
- She doesn’t like him.
- I see her every Monday.
- We can see him, but he can’t see us.
After preposition
We use object pronouns after prepositions.
- She is there for me.
- I’ll get it for you.
- Give it to him.
- Can you listen to her?
- Don’t take it from us.
- I want to speak to them.
